Applied Theology: Hermeneutics, Homiletics, Apologetics, Research Techniques

These biblical courses are designed with the “Applied” approach in mind; that is, to equip the learner in how to apply insights and principals to current times. The goal is for the learner to be real, relevant and relatable, and to:.
1) know how to think critically about biblical passages.
2) know how to access various sources to conduct research on biblical passages.
3) research history, belief systems, and cultural norms related to certain biblical passages.
4) interpret biblical passages within the context in which it was given and how such passages can or should be applied today.
5) understand, incorporate and apply exegetical standards to biblical text.
6) have a deeper appreciation for understanding for biblical context, syntax, punctuation, and word choices as it relates to translation and transliteration.
